Accelerometers
Accelerometers are used to measure exercise time and quality, step count and how many calories you’ve burned.
In order to measure the effectiveness of our exercise or diet prescriptions, Cardio Connect will sometimes send clients home with a small, medical grade accelerometer. The device can be worn on a string around your neck or it’s small enough to be placed in your pocket. You should have it on you while you go about your day.
Clients will carry the accelerometer with them for a week as they continue their daily activities—including exercise. After a week we will look at the results and adjust your exercise or diet prescription accordingly.
